In Week 6 of Term 1 our class focussed on how to write great explanations. We wrote about how to survive your first night in Minecraft (the game a lot of us are obsessed with!).
Here is my writing, after I have self-assessed and peer-assessed my work.

I am going to tell you how to survive the first night in minecraft
First you cut down the wood to make a torch and so you can see. Because if you can’t see
then the dark unsatiated fearless zombie will come. and not only that you also need it to make fire a torch and a plank. When you're at that stage when you have to build a house at least two blocks high and you don’t need a roof
on your first night.
After that build a cave or a an underground tunnel in the morning before the sun goes down don’t wreck it
because the hideous camouflage bush creeper comes out at night so make a cave with a torch and a
tunnel with light like heaven but you better watch out because there are venomous spider that spawn in the dark. And that's how you survive
the first night in minecraft.`
